Sex Industry

Although slavery is commonly thought to be a thing of the past, human traffickers generate hundreds of billions of dollars in profits by trapping millions of people in horrific situations around the world, including here in the U.S. Human trafficking exists primarily in sex trafficking and labor trafficking.

The heading is stated as “Sex Industry/Human Trafficking” because if there were no human sex trafficking there would be no sex industry, and vice-versa. They are evils that feed on one another and the victims are the ones who are forced into what is literally sexual slavery. The people who are enslaved are generally women and young girls, but as our culture becomes more and more depraved, young boys are increasingly the targets of traffickers. These “sex slaves” are forced into prostitution,
performing at strip clubs, being forced to perform in obscene videos, and any other foul situation traffickers can dream up.

Labor trafficking is another form of modern slavery that exists throughout the United States and globally. U.S. citizens, foreign nationals, women, men, and children can be victims of labor trafficking. They are forced to work in a variety of industries, most commonly agriculture and service work, for little or no pay with terrible working conditions.

Traffickers use violence, threats, deception, debt bondage, and other manipulative tactics to force people to engage in commercial sex or to provide labor or services against their will.
